After you have made your first timer, you will see them on this screen with their respective short codes where you can easily add them anywhere you want. The first time you use Scarcity Builder just hit the orange “Create new countdown” button.
Firstly name your short code (this is what you will paste into your posts and pages to show the timer), then choose a countdown type of either Ever Green, Fixed Date and Time or Cookie based. Based on the option you choose the top menu options change – see 1 and 2

Since recording this video the pricing situation has done a complete reversal and now also costs $97 like Scarcity Samurai used to cost before they discontinued it. I adjusted my pricing score down to 60% for this app. At the moment some WordPress builders like Thrive Architect include countdown timers and so much more for $67. So I feel the value proposition with Scarcity Builder is no longer compelling as it was when it sold for $20.

Normally I would tell you dismiss any such “special offer” but with Mark Thompson and his regularly high quality apps this is actually a good time to save money on other apps which would be fantastic to have in your arsenal.
They also offer training courses and mentorship groups and that is really up to you and your experience whether that will be beneficial to you.
Scarcity Builder Alternatives?
There used to be a direct competitor to Scarcity Builder from the same people who make Market Samurai – they called this app Scarcity Samurai but it's no longer available.
So at this moment if you want to add true evergreen countdown timers then Scarcity Builder is one of the few better quality apps to choose from.
There are other plugins like Thrive Architect which also include countdown timers and honestly a lot more because it is a page builder.
But I know some of you don't want to use a new page builder so in those cases Scarcity Builder is a solid bet to give you the scarcity marketing function.
Do I recommend Scarcity Builder?
If you are using WordPress and don't want to use a page builder like Thrive Architect, then yes it's a good choice. If you run an eCommerce store, then absolutely yes – seeing people double their sales is not uncommon when using a scarcity marketing technique.
