For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
Scripture is very clear on the patterns of favor of God.
As we study the scriptures we are introduced to people such as King David whom the Bible affectionately refers to as the apple of God’s eye. We also see numerous references to Israel the nation and how their actions and obedience to God’s word brings such tremendous blessings and prosperity which we still see glimpses of today from a promise of favor God made to Israel the man and his grandfather Abraham many thousands of years ago.
So with this in mind let us take our inspiration from the Word and look at 15 verses which clearly show the workings of God’s favor in scripture.
